We just couldn't imagine life at school without Lottie, our chocolate Labrador - she makes children, staff, parents and visitors smile every day! Lottie is a gentle, calm and adaptable dog, who just loves to be involved in every aspect of school life. The expert training and support from DHK and the rigorous assessments have meant that we have complete confidence in her interactions with children and in her numerous roles around the school. We are particularly proud that every single child at Skippers can talk confidently about dog body language, welfare and safety. Lottie loves working with our children at her dog training club, snuggling up to individuals for reading sessions and helping children to feel better or to feel more confident around dogs. Lottie is often found snoozing in one of her many beds around the school or being taken for "Lottie Reward Time" walks in our fields and woodland.

Max has to be the calmest, chilled out character. He loves coming to school and is really eager when he sees his orange harness. He comes to school daily with Head teacher, Jo Yates.
Max goes into class with Jo and loves to chill on his settle mat during lesson observations. He is even part of the interview panel during any recruitment!
Pupils all love spending time with Max and have enjoyed reading with him and training with him. We are currently teaching Max to 'crawl', any excuse for an extra treat!
When the orange harness comes off at the end of the day Max enjoys playing tug and having a good run. As Max is partly whippet he goes like a rocket and as he especially loves a good 'chase' with his doggy pals this comes in handy.

Ripley is a chocolate brown Springador with a white flash on his chest - this is where we believe the magic was added. Ripley is super chilled and calmly goes about his business of bringing happiness to a busy secondary school.

Ripley is a real asset to the school and he enjoys being in school each day and taking part in 1:1 reading sessions, Ripley's training club (called 'Ripley Club') and joining in with my sixth form lessons. In lessons Ripley is so settled, he picks his spot in the classroom and tends to spend the majority of the hour asleep! Ripley has down time in my office where he has his bed, water and a few toys and he enjoys snoring under my desk whilst I am getting on with paperwork. Outside of school Ripley loves going on walks to the woods and playing with his best friend Freddie, another chocolate Labrador.
